How To Eat Healthy Everyday?

It’s a valid question, don’t you think?

This might be a simple question for you or totally overwhelming thought, hunting you on a daily basis and for all the right reasons.
Let’s simplify the steps so we can get started. There are few key elements that contributes to eating healthy everyday, here are 5 of them:

1- Focus on quality over calories:
When you focus on counting calories you’ll get caught up on feelings of restrictions and deprivation. Once you switch your focus to quality your brain will start looking at things that it can add into the diet as opposed to removing from it, which makes food fun and creative!

2- Eat lots of fruits and vegetables:
It goes without saying that eating more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis is really beneficial for your overall health.
Try to add one additional element to every meal if you can.For example add a side of steamed or raw Broccoli to your lunch or have a banana with your breakfast.

3- Carb is not your enemy:
Starchy carbohydrates (Potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice and…) are the body’s main source of energy, so they need to be included in a healthy diet. When high on Fiber they also help you feel fuller for longer.

4- Less sugar:
You can do this by reducing the amount of pre-made meals you consume, or staying away from sugary drinks and sodas.
Checking the food labels can help you understand how much sugar is in the time you’re consuming.

5-  Don’t forget water:
You need a lot of water to stay hydrated, and yes this is in addition to the fluid you get from the food you eat. So get into the habit of having a glass of water on your desk or a bottle of water with you wherever you go and keep sipping.

You can start with all or with one and add them one at the time. Whichever way you choose to go, they will over time make a huge difference in your health and wellbeing and the way you feel.
