There are so many things that I love about fall season, the scent, the air, the colors and… One of my must haves all day everyday during this time is Pumpkin, in all forms, shapes and sizes!
Baked, soup, over salad, pumpkin bread, you name it, I’ll have it with much pleasure.
Did you actually know that the glucose in Pumpkin is your liver’s best friend? It stabilizes the liver which in turn allows blood sugar to stabilize overall your body.
Here’s an easy way to enjoy pumpkin this season with everything you eat.
- 3.5 cups of fresh Pumpkin puree (One 29-ounce can if you’re buying ready made) Please note it’s not a pie filling it’s just puree.
- ⅔ cup Coconut sugar
- ¼ grade A Maple syrup
- ½ cup fresh Apple juice
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 toothpick Ginger essential oil
- 1 toothpick Cinnamon Bark essential oil
- 1 toothpick Clove essential oil
1- Add all the ingredients to a large saucepan over medium-high heat and stir to combine
2- Once the mixture begins to bubble, reduce heat to a simmer. Cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3- Taste and adjust spices as desired
4- Cool completely and use immediately – or store in a glass container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
