There are those days, when one is down with some silly flue, has so much work to edit and audio to cut, it’s cold and gloomy outside, although is JUNE, the body aches and the head hurts and one can see inspiration flying away right from the window, well today was one of those days!
As some of you may know, I’m currently working on a personal project of mine called “S.HE” , talking about women and equality and I have a show coming up in few weeks, so the countdown is on and with the above scenario not only you can’t do much but somehow you flip to the dark side, thinking all the most disappointing thoughts you can possibily think of. So here I was, questioning myself and the project, I was looking at photos and listening to audios and wasn’t feeling it. Suddenly it wasn’t good enough, not ready enough, it just wasn’t.
I went on a tea break in hope to clear my mind and then this happened:
Tears were running down my face as inspiration was hitting me full on. I started searching it, reading about it and was coming back to myself second by second.
“Suffragettes were members of women’s organization (right to vote) movements in the late 19th and early 20th century, particularly militants in Great Britain such as members of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU).”
I just realized that every single step we take matters, every little one of them. I realized that as a human being and specially as a woman I have a responsibility, what I do matters, it’s good enough and it’s important enough!
