Immunity Shots For The Rescue + Recipe

No matter the season, your immune system is always hard at work and can forever benefit from a little extra help and support!

If you’ve ever purchased immunity shots in the store, you will know how expensive they are and you’ll highly benefit if you make it a habit to make your own fresh at home.
Some of the best wellness/immunity shots are:

  • Turmeric shot: Turmeric shots contain curcumin that boosts antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They also aid in digestion.

  • Wheatgrass shot: Wheatgrass shots are made of wheatgrass which grows below the wheat plant. Wheatgrass shots are low in calories and are full of nutrients such as vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals.

  • Ginger shot: Ginger Shots are the best wellness shots that provide a variety of health benefits. They aid in reducing inflammation, soothe digestive issues, and also strengthen your immunity.

  • Orange, Lemon and Turmeric shot: Orange lemon turmeric shots are enriched in vitamin C, minerals, and other nutrients. They have excellent anti-inflammatory properties and also include antioxidants.

The recipe below is a  super-simple-to-prepare, inexpensive Citrus Immunity Shots made with immune-boosting citrus, ginger, turmeric, and garlic. It’s a delicious choice that nourishes, fuels and aids your body and it’s so easy to make.

Make a batch each week to save time, pour it in an ice cube tray and freeze them, and take them out as needed or make and drink immediately. My suggestion is drink it twice a day, especially in cooler seasons or when you feel your system is a little compromised.
This recipe is taken from Medical Medium:

You Need:

  • 4 inches turmeric

  • 4 inches fresh ginger

  • 2 oranges

  • 4 garlic cloves

You Do:
One at a time, run each ingredient through the juicer, keeping the juices separate.
Combine 1 teaspoon turmeric juice, 1 teaspoon ginger juice, 1/4 teaspoon garlic juice, and 1/4 cup orange juice in a small glass. Stir to combine and drink immediately.
If you’re planning to freeze then make the full batch and pour into your tray and freeze. This will make 2-4 servings depending on your juicer. If you fancy making more, just double up the numbers.

Turmeric is great for anything in the body that’s inflamed and causing pain, from nerves to joints to the brain.

Garlic is one of the world’s oldest medicines and is an incredibly potent spice that can ward off a variety of illnesses and diseases. It has amazingly high levels of vitamins and minerals including vitamin C and B-6 and minerals such as selenium, calcium, copper, and iron.

Ginger is known to greatly aid in digestion and assimilation and is widely regarded to help prevent colds, flu, motion sickness, and vertigo. Ginger can also help to alleviate menstrual cramps, nausea, heartburn, migraines, sore throats, exhaustion, fatigue, and constipation and it is great in providing relief from the stomach flu and food poisoning.

Oranges are rich in lime and alkaline salts that help to counteract and prevent acidosis in the body. They are also excellent for the digestive tract and help to remove toxic debris from the colon through enhanced peristaltic action.

So get your juicer on and prep to support your immune system, today!

Much love,
Nousha
